1. Why do I need to convert mpeg, wmv, avi videos?
A simple answer to this question is "all users with different web browsers cannot see your video, sometimes
becuase of the video formats is not recognized by their browser or the size of video is too large that they
quit watching it. But most of modern web browsers are capable of loading Adobe Flash Contents, that is the
reason we convert our video to a format that most users can watch without any mess of installing new software
but just Adobe FlashPlayer plugin."
Adobe FlashPlayer plugin is by default available for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh. The linux users mostly use
Mozilla browser that utilizes the windows version of FlashPlayer plugin by running it via wine (emulator that runs
windows applications on Linux). So the best choice is getting out video converted to some most used and most
recognized format, that is FLV Video

2. What format are we talking about?
We are talking about the SWF and FLV formats.
We have choice either use SWF (a pure Shockwave Flash file) or a video file FLV (Flash Video).
There is little disadvantage of using SWF though, but it is still not bad for new users. Disadvantage
is that SWF file cannot be streamed easily. So the resulting video file plays in jerks, if being played on
a slow connection. Advantage is, that you create single SWF file, upload it,
create html code for it and pasted code in a web page
for displaying the SWF file.
Now FLV. FLV is best suited format for video to play on web. When your video is converted to FLV,
it is very much smaller than the original video file in size; e.g. a video song of 50 MB in VCD format
can be converted to FLV within 4 MB, even by maintaing normal quality. Now, if you already have a FLV file,
go to our homepage and paste it's url in textbox in top-right corner and your code is ready to
be added to your site for playing your FLV file.

3. Convert video to FLV
Basically, there are many ways to convert your video to FLV, the best and most costly method is using Flash MX
or latest version such as CS to encode your video to FLV, but everyone cannot afford buying that huge
web-authoring software just for converting videos to FLV. So what's the alternate?
is the
most cost effective tool with many features that costs $15 only, a compelte software
that converts almost every video format to FLV, such as MPEG, WMV, AVI, VCD, SVCD, RM, MOV, SWF etc,
and also back to original format. Free version of VCON Lite is available at
convertflv.com.
